Lakers 3 Keys to tonight’s game
Tonight the Lakers take on the Utah Jazz. I’m going to be looking out for the following three things when it comes to tonight’s game.
- Defense, Defense, DEFENSE! Can the Lakers keep up the defensive effort they showed against the Sacramento Kings last game? I’m hoping they can because if the Lakers want to be successful this year, a lot of will come from their ability to get stops on a consistent basis.
- Brandon Ingram, can we please get a consistent showing from Brandon Ingram, I heard he improved his jump shot, can we some evidence of that? Brandon Ingram has been very active in the pre-season and has been a factor on defense. But his offense is not has not been on par with expectations for him entering the season. Does he at least show us something that will give us reason to believe that his offensive game is not something to be overly concerned with?
- Pace of play. With Lonzo Ball out of the lineup the Lakers tried to push the pace but had difficulty when they had to set up and execute in the half court. Tyler Ennis received the start in Lonzo’s absence, could the Lakers give an opportunity to the rookie Josh Hart tonight? It will be interesting to see what kind of point guard play the Lakers get tonight, going up against the likes of Ricky Rubio, Dante Exum, and Alec Burks.
