Three Things To Watch For

Three Things To Watch For

It’s been a bumpy ride thus far for the Lakers during the preseason.  Here are three things to look for tonight as the Lakers take on the Sacramento Kings in their fourth preseason game of the 2017-18 season.

Lakers defense has been atrocious to start the season, do we see any improvements on that end of the floor tonight as far as their rotations and playing defense on perimeter shooters and not giving wide open looks from 3.

  • Does anybody besides Kyle Kuzma and Julius Randall step up and provide any kind of offensive punch.  Outside of Kuzma and some flashes shown by Randall, the Lakers have not had any players make a solid impact on offense.  Does Brook Lopez help fill the role tonight as he makes his preseason debut tonight.
  • Lonzo Ball is out, gives more time to Hart and Ennis to help sort out who the primary backup point guard will be for the Lakers.   Brandon Ingram has been playing a bit of point guard in practice, so this might allow the Lakers to experiment with him there in a game situation.

We will be keeping an out for these three things amongst other things as we continue to watch the evolution of the Lakers during this transition period.  Join us after the game for the post game podcast hosted by yours truly, JD and Jeremiah Da Prophet.
